HEYI Electric helps Thailand’s power development
Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, EGAT and MEA confirm co-hosting of Enlit Asia 2025
Bangkok, September 2025 – Enlit Asia 2025 will be held at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand from September 7 to 9. The Ministry of Energy of Thailand has confirmed that it will be the energy organizer of this exhibition. At the same time, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand (MEA) will serve as the public utility organizers. This decision marks Thailand’s important position in the Asian power and energy industry, and has once again attracted the attention of the global energy field.
The 2025 exhibition has five special themes, covering power generation, transmission and distribution, new energy technologies, electric vehicles and charging piles, and data centers, providing a professional display and communication platform covering the entire industry.
As the host of this exhibition, Thailand, through strategic cooperation with Clarion Energy, not only brought together its own rich energy resources and market potential, but also injected new impetus into the innovation and sustainable development of the global energy industry.
Why did Thailand become the host country this time ?
Thailand’s energy transformation is driving investments of more than 5 trillion baht across renewable energy, smart grids, electric vehicles and energy efficiency. This ambitious agenda provides exhibitors with significant opportunities to connect with the country’s rapidly evolving power sector.
New energy: Thailand plans to achieve a 30% renewable energy target by 2037, which is expected to require 779 billion baht for solar, wind and other energy sources.
Energy efficiency: The goal is to improve energy efficiency by 30% by 2037, with an estimated investment of THB 974 billion in energy efficiency technologies.
Smart Grid: Invest 127 billion baht to support 10 GW of renewable energy integration through smart grid and advanced metering technologies.
Distributed Energy: By 2037, 1,000 community renewable energy projects, focusing on solar and biogas, will be implemented to improve rural energy access.
Electric vehicles: The goal is to have 1.2 million electric vehicles on the road and invest 400 billion baht in infrastructure and incentives.
Coal and Gas Power Generation: Currently, more than 60% of electricity supply still relies on coal and natural gas, which requires major strategic investments to modernize existing power plants and improve emission controls.
Transformation and upgrading: Thailand is actively investing in clean technologies for conventional electricity, with plans to allocate 150 billion baht to upgrade gas-fired power plants and deploy carbon capture and storage (CCS) solutions.
What can Heyi Electric bring to Thailand’s energy construction?
Electricity safety is an inseparable theme of any power engineering construction. Heyi Electric has developed current transformers specifically for the Thai market: CT outdoor transformer rated at 160 kVA 250/5 A: OCT-36 and CT outdoor transformer rated at 250 kVA 400/5 A:
This current transformer has functions such as data collection and remote power monitoring. The cast shell is not easy to crack and its durability is effectively guaranteed.

Heyi Electric explains its products to customers in Thailand
Customers are actively preparing for MEA and PEA projects and actively responding to Thailand’s energy construction reforms.

Where are HEYI’s current transformers used?
The large transformer behind is an important part of energy reform and construction. The transformer we customized for the Thai market is used on this type of transformer, which can effectively ensure the safe and efficient operation of the transformer.

Heyi Electric’s products cover multiple key areas such as smart grid, smart meter, Internet of Things, smart home and energy storage, etc. We insist on bringing users good products, good services and a good future.
