Products needed for energy construction in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom has launched a total of about 22 renewable energy projects, including 13 new projects in the renewable energy sector currently under development. The total capacity of these 13 new projects is expected to reach 11.4 GW, with a total investment of about 34 billion Saudi riyals (9 billion US dollars). Once these projects are put into operation, they are expected to reduce emissions by about 20 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year. The Kingdom is implementing a circular carbon economy model, aiming to achieve its commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 278 million tons per year by 2030.
The Kingdom also plans to launch a national geographic survey project starting in 2025. The project aims to establish a total of 1,200 renewable energy measurement stations in all provinces of the Kingdom. The National Renewable Energy Program works on various renewable energy sources, including solar photovoltaic energy and wind energy.
