As the core institution of urban water supply, the operating efficiency and management level of water plants are directly related to the quality of life of residents. With the continuous advancement of Internet of Things technology, water plants are gradually realizing visualization, intelligent and information management. Among them, the remote monitoring Internet of Things system of the distribution room has become a key link in improving management efficiency and ensuring water supply safety.
The power distribution room of the water plant has many devices and complex operation. The 24/7 continuous operation leads to a high risk of failure. The traditional inspection method requires manual regular inspection, which is labor-intensive, costly, and inefficient, and there is also a lot of subjective errors. In this regard, Shuzhineng provides a remote monitoring IoT system for the power distribution room, which can solve these problems well.
The system uses the PLC data acquisition platform to collect and standardize data from various devices in the distribution room (such as transformers, switch cabinets, current transformers, voltage transformers, etc.). These data include key parameters such as current, voltage, power factor, temperature, etc., which are transmitted to the smart water plant IoT platform in real time through 5G/4G/WIFI/Ethernet and other networks. The configuration software on the platform can view the operating status and process parameters of each device in the distribution room anytime and anywhere, such as incoming line voltage, outgoing line current, power factor, temperature, etc., realizing comprehensive monitoring of the distribution room.
In addition to remote monitoring, the system also has an automatic alarm function. When abnormal conditions occur in the equipment in the power distribution room, such as excessive current, abnormal voltage, high or low temperature, etc., the system will automatically trigger the alarm rules and push alarm information to relevant personnel through WeChat, SMS, email, etc., which helps to greatly shorten the time for fault discovery and handling and improve the efficiency of fault handling.
In addition, the system also supports remote control. Operators can start, stop and adjust the equipment remotely through the system without going to the distribution room, which not only reduces the labor intensity of operators but also improves the safety of operation.
In terms of operation and maintenance management, the system can quickly create inspection, operation and maintenance work order tasks, and perform operations such as order acceptance, alarm elimination, recording, distribution, and review. By tracking the processing progress and work logs, the optimal allocation of operation and maintenance resources is achieved. At the same time, the system can also generate various reports and graphs, such as power curves and energy consumption reports. Etc., to facilitate managers to conduct evaluation and analysis and form a working method of data-based operation management.
The introduction of the remote monitoring Internet of Things system in the water plant’s distribution room not only improves the water plant’s operating efficiency and management level, but also ensures the safe and stable operation of water supply equipment, helps to form an information-based working mechanism, achieves quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, and contributes to the sustainable development of the city.
