Application principle of current transformer in Internet of Things system

What is a Current Transformer?

The current transformer is an instrument that converts the primary side large current into the secondary side small current for measurement based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It often has the entire current of the line flowing through it, and the secondary winding has a relatively large number of turns. It is connected in series with the measuring instrument and the protection circuit (usually used on secondary equipment such as electric meters and relays). When the current transformer is working, its secondary circuit is always closed. Therefore, the impedance of the series coil of the measuring instrument and the protection circuit is very small, and the working state of the current transformer is close to short circuit. The current transformer converts the primary side large current into the secondary side small current for measurement, and the secondary side cannot be open circuit.
